San Cesario sul Panaro, March 26th, 2024 – Pagani Automobili is pleased to present the new Huayra R simulator, an advanced virtual driving system developed in collaboration with Racing Unleashed, a high-end simulator manufacturer employed in training professional pilots. Initially exclusively available to Huayra R owners, the new product will soon be accessible to the public through the international Pagani dealer network.

«We aimed to create a professional, dynamic driving simulator with an extraordinary level of immersion and realism, intending to contribute to the constant refinement of our customers’ driving styles. Our ambition was to transform it into a genuine design object, a product with artistic value destined to occupy a prominent place within the homes of Huayra R owners. For this reason, we dedicated extreme attention to creating a product that reflects our cars’ extraordinary uniqueness.» (Franco Morsino, Vehicle Dynamics Lead at Pagani Automobili)

Thanks to the simulator, drivers will be able to become familiar with their vehicle in a safe environment, accumulate miles, build confidence in their skills, and discover the secrets of the many international circuits available in advance.

Arte in Pista, the thrilling program of circuit experiences

Arte in Pista is a program designed to allow Pagani Track Hypercars car owners to fully experience their vehicles’ performance potential through a rich calendar of exclusive non-competitive events held at the world’s most prestigious FIA tracks. The format offers a comprehensive experience that combines adrenaline-fueled sessions with moments of pure enjoyment, all with the technical support of the Pagani team. This support includes the technical manager, track engineer, mechanical staff, physiotherapist, specialized nutritionist, and professional coaches, all contributing to enhancing the customers’ sports driving skills.

Individual experience, community experience

The introduction of the simulator strengthens Pagani Automobili’s commitment to caring for its community, offering new opportunities for gathering, sharing, learning, and enjoyment. The possibilities for use are diverse: each driver can explore circuits and drive independently or book remote coaching sessions to train on specific aspects or tracks. Pagani will also host virtual events where people can challenge themselves and interact with each other, previewing the experiences of Arte in Pista events with real cars and tracks. Additionally, customers will have the freedom to organize challenges and sessions among themselves independently.

A project resulting from synergies internal and external to Pagani

The project originated in 2020, involving two divisions of Pagani: the Vehicle Dynamics Team at Pagani Automobili, responsible for creating realistic models, and the Pagani Arte team, which embraced the challenge of translating the essence of Pagani Hypercars into a design product. The two teams, working together, turned to Racing Unleashed to create a synergy of expertise aimed at developing an extraordinarily faithful and immersive virtual setup; the joint design of hardware and software allowed for exceptional realism in reproducing the car’s movements and asphalt characteristics.

«At Racing Unleashed we aim to provide the most engaging experiences to motorsport fans around the world. Today, we are delighted to announce this partnership with Pagani to showcase our advanced technology with the goal not only to entertain but to improve driving skills as well.» (Francisco Fernandez, CEO at Racing Unleashed)

The simulator as a design object.

The design team dedicated over a year of work to blend the pursuit of an interior design object with the gaming nature of the device. The shapes of the Huayra R inspired the entire simulator’s design, creating an object with both fluid and soft lines; the elliptical form, also a hallmark of the Pagani logo, addressed this need. The Huayra R simulator aims to deliver an authentically Pagani experience, starting with the materials used: the carbon fiber composing the chassis comes from the same autoclaves as the Atelier where Pagani Hypercars originate. The entire driving setup, including the steering wheel, pedals, seat, and belts, is exactly the same as that of the Huayra R, creating an object whose construction precision aligns more with the world of collector’s design than the gaming world. Some components in aluminum from the Hi-Fi system and VR system have been crafted with the same artisanal care as Pagani cars, following a machining-from-solid approach. To establish a more meaningful connection between the car and the simulator, the air vents typical of Hypercars, used for dissipating brake and engine heat, have been integrated into the simulator’s base to optimize software processing cooling and contribute to the smoothness of the experience.

Cutting-edge engineering for the ultimate engagement.

The engineering and design team meticulously attended to every detail to faithfully recreate the handling, dynamics, and aerodynamic effects of the real car, thanks to the three degrees of freedom providing the driver with pitch, roll, and yaw motion cues. All these features were tested and validated in back-to-back trials by professional drivers and development pilots, transitioning from the simulator to the actual Hypercar. Every Huayra R customer will receive a virtual setup that faithfully emulates the real car with meticulous accuracy: the carbon fiber structure’s paintwork, the advanced active safety belt system simulating longitudinal and lateral acceleration feedback, the ABS emulator helping modulate braking at the grip limit, and the seat are all faithfully replicated. The acoustic experience received particular attention: integrated kickers in the seat and the sophisticated 5.1 audio system enhance engagement with the distinctive sound of the Pagani V12-R and road-transmitted vibrations. All sounds can be heard with the included VR headphones, a result of numerous trackside and in-car recording sessions. The hardware setup includes an integrated high-performance gaming computer in the base, a curved screen, and a dedicated wooden Flight Case measuring 3 m Ă— 1.2 m (9.84 ft Ă— 3.94 ft). On the software side, the adoption of the Assetto Corsa Pro interface stands out, as the leading simulation platform in the industry, ensuring drivers an extremely realistic experience through the extensive use of cutting-edge technologies like laser-scanned circuits. The driving simulator measures 3,110 mm (122.44 inches) in length and 1,700 mm (66.93 inches) in width, certified to ICE 62368-1 standard for the European, North American, and Asian markets.

  • From March 4th to April 14th, Pagani Automobili is presenting the temporary exhibition “The Shape of Air: from Leonardo da Vinci to Pagani Utopia” at the Shanghai Museum. The exhibition aims to recount Leonardo’s influence in the genesis of the Hypercar that marked the third chapter in the history of the Modena-based company.
  • This showcase is part of the larger art show “Who is Leonardo da Vinci?” which features original works of extraordinary value by Leonardo, to stimulate a conversation about Leonardo, encompassing his paintings, drawings, disciples, and masterpieces of Chinese art from the 10th to the 16th century.
  • On March 4th, Horacio Pagani will attend the temporary exhibition opening.
  • On display will be one of the most iconic models in the history of Pagani Automobili: the Zonda Cinque.
  • The exhibition represents the third stage of a journey that commenced in Milan at the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci and continued in Vinci.

San Cesario sul Panaro, February 27th, 2024 – From March 4th to April 14th, Pagani Automobili is bringing the temporary exhibition “The Shape of Air: from Leonardo da Vinci to Pagani Utopia” to the Shanghai Museum, the most prominent museum institution in the Shanghai municipality.

«Italian cars continue to captivate entire generations because they are equipped with a special engine: a flawless fusion of science and art that has always fueled Italian creativity, exemplified by the brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci. i. Consequently, showcasing the exquisite cars crafted by Horacio Pagani at the Shanghai Museum, within the grand exhibition dedicated to Leonardo, signifies presenting the Chinese audience with a palpable testament to our prowess in conceiving, crafting, and bestowing substantive value upon human ingenuity, and consequently, upon our very existence.» (Tiziana D’Angelo, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai)

“The Shape of Air: from Leonardo da Vinci to Pagani Utopia” takes place within the framework of the Italian Design Day, the annual initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, this year centered around the theme “Manufacturing Value: inclusiveness, innovation and sustainability”.

On the first floor, the temporary exhibition will delve into Leonardo’s pivotal role in creating the Utopia, the Hypercar that marked the third act in the history of Pagani Automobili. A fearless pursuit of beauty guided the research to find the delicate balance between form and function, a mission inherent to every designer. This principle aligns with the statement of the Renaissance artist-scientist who has always inspired the work of Horacio Pagani and his team: «Art and Science are two disciplines that can walk hand in hand.»

The entire evolution of the car will be narrated as if it were a living creature, from the initial original sketches to its most representative components: the lever system of the gearbox, the pedal assembly, the four exhausts, the optical groups, the steering wheel, the central console, the wheel, the Pirelli tire, and the front hood.

On the ground floor, visitors will be able to relive the essential moments of Pagani Automobili’s history through the section “The Story of a Dream”, tracing the journey of Horacio Pagani from the boy who crafted balsa wood models in Argentina to the designer and builder of some of the most beloved automobiles of the last decades.

“Who is Leonardo da Vinci?” – Original works by Leonardo in Shanghai

Alongside the temporary exhibition, the showcase “Who is Leonardo da Vinci?” is dedicated to the great artist, his paintings, and drawings, juxtaposing his works with some masterpieces of Chinese art from the 10th to the 16th century, preserved within the collections of the Shanghai Museum.

The protagonist of the exhibition is La Scapiliata, an autographed work by Leonardo from the National Gallery of Parma (Monumental complex of Pilotta).

The exhibition also features eleven precious original folia from Leonardo’s Codex Atlanticus and works by his disciples, including two drawings by Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio, a drawing by Francesco Melzi, and a painting by Bernardino Scapi (known as Luini), all from the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan.

Additionally, two drawings by Michelangelo, a contemporary of Leonardo, come from Casa Buonarroti in Florence.

The Italian collection engages in a dialogue with some masterpieces from the Shanghai Museum, works by illustrious Chinese painters such as Zhao Yong (c. 1289–1369), Shen Zhou (1427–1509), and Tang Yin (1470–1523).

The section “Leonardo: the Machine of Imagination” enriches the exhibition. It is a contemporary artwork animated by a series of installations (Observations on Nature, City and Landscape, Anatomical Table, and Painting) conceived by Studio Azzurro, one of the most renowned European collectives in artistic research with the languages of new technologies, and produced by the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana-Treccani. Set design, video art, and sounds contribute inseparably to stimulating the power of imagination in every visitor.

«Leonardo da Vinci is defined as the ‘universal man’ because he has influenced every discipline, from art to science. His figure represents the ideal to which each of us should aspire, not only for his eclectic skills but especially for human qualities such as humility, curiosity, and a passion for research. In particular, Leonardo was one of the first to advocate that art and science can walk together, hand in hand, and that the distance between the two disciplines is only apparent. This concept is significant because it can inspire a new way of interpreting any human activity and allows for the creation of truly universal achievements.» (Horacio Pagani, Founder & Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili)

«Leonardo da Vinci continues to fascinate and inspire entire generations thanks to his genius. It is with great pride that Treccani, always committed to promoting Italian culture and art worldwide, has cooperated in this project in collaboration with the Shanghai Museum, the most prestigious museum institution in the Municipality of Shanghai, with the support of the Italian Embassy in the People’s Republic of China, the Consulate General, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai. The exhibition, the result of the work of an Italo-Chinese curatorial committee involving the directors of partner institutions and high-profile international experts, seeks to answer the fundamental question: ‘Who is Leonardo da Vinci?’ Exploring multiple aspects of the personality and work of the encyclopedic genius, the exhibition features significant loans generously provided by the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, the Monumental complex of Pilotta in Parma, and Casa Buonarroti in Florence.» (Massimo Bray, General Director of the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana-Treccani)

«The underlying aspiration of this exhibition on Leonardo da Vinci, which ideally engages with Chinese painting at the Shanghai Museum, is to believe that no people have a monopoly on knowledge or contributions to the realms of experience. The outcomes of human inquiry are mutually recognized and honored, thereby following the spirit of unity that naturally tends to bring together rather than separate, divide, and oppose, always and everywhere.» (Francesco D’Arelli, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai)

Horacio Pagani at the exhibition’s inauguration

On March 4th, Horacio Pagani will be in Shanghai to inaugurate the exhibition and share insights into the enduring influence that the undisputed genius of the Renaissance has always had on his and his team’s work. Pagani Automobili is indeed a creative Atelier where a community of people engages in the exercise of thought and manual skill every day, aligning with Leonardo’s philosophy, which illuminates the path to solving the great complexities of mechanics. Pagani’s ambition is to create bespoke objects that aim to achieve the pinnacle of synthesis between technological innovation and aesthetic pleasure.

An iconic model from the history of Pagani Automobili is on display: the Zonda Cinque

Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2009, the Zonda Cinque was designed to be the most extreme road-legal Zonda ever, limited to just five units. The project drew inspiration from the technological advancements of the Zonda R, a wild and innovative vehicle exclusively designed for the track. The Zonda Cinque is the first road car to adopt a carbo-titanium chassis, offering numerous advantages in terms of lightness, strength, and performance. It inherits aerodynamic solutions from the Zonda R, such as air intakes on the hoods and roof, along with new front spoilers, a redesigned adjustable rear wing, a flat bottom, and modified rear diffusers. The combination of these features allows the Cinque to generate an aerodynamic load of 750 kg (1653 lbs) at 300 km/h (186 mph). The pronounced racing appearance is also evident in the wheels, featuring single-nut fastening and black or anodized finishes, and in the seats with four-point harnesses, along with a chromoly steel roll bar coated in carbon fiber. For the first time, a Zonda is equipped with a 6-speed sequential automated gearbox. The interiors are designed to maximize driving pleasure, with ergonomic paddles behind the steering wheel and redesigned control instruments for the highest level of precision. The distinctive livery and colors of the Zonda Cinque reflect Pagani’s constant commitment to creating a sophisticated blend of style, research, and technological development.

On display, the Zonda Cinque Coupé 1 of 5, from the year 2009, featuring an exterior in New York pearl white with red accents, showcasing the distinctive Cinque livery and fully visible carbon fiber. The interior is designed with black leather and Alcantara.

The journey of “The Shape of Air”, from Milan to Vinci to Shanghai

The exhibition “The Shape of Air: from Leonardo da Vinci to Pagani Utopia” is the third stage of a journey that began in Milan, continued in Leonardo’s hometown, and has now reached Asia.

«In 2022, on the occasion of the world premiere of the Pagani Utopia, the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci in Milan hosted the exhibition “The Shape of Air”. Inside the evocative Sala del Cenacolo, the new Hypercar was displayed surrounded by six original drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, creating a dual path: on one side, the extraordinary intelligence of a man capable—six centuries ago—of representing even the invisible through a series of sheets taken from the Codex Atlanticus, dedicated to studies on air and their application; on the other side, the thoughts that led the designer Horacio Pagani and his team to conceive the Utopia project. In 2023, in Vinci, the eponymous book was presented, a work that aims to delve into the Utopia project and the connection between the Renaissance artist and the element of air. The next chapter will unfold at the Shanghai Museum, where the exhibition “The Shape of Air” will accompany the display “Who is Leonardo da Vinci?” This union of Art and Science offers a unique visiting experience: Leonardo’s multifaceted and curious mind is an example of boundless genius, while the Utopia project embodies ingenuity in automotive design. Both represent mastery, vision, and innovation, demonstrating that these extraordinary skills transcend epochs and disciplines.» (Luigi Ganzerli, Communication Supervisor & Project Manager of Pagani Automobili)

San Cesario sul Panaro, February 15th, 2024 — Pagani renews its participation in The I.C.E. St. Moritz – International Concours of Elegance on Friday, February 23rd, and Saturday, February 24th, 2024.

The exclusive Engadine competition brings together collectors, drivers, and enthusiasts from around the world to admire a lineup of dream cars on the icy surface of the lake.

For the occasion, Pagani will exhibit the results of its latest projects, reflecting the eclectic spirit of Horacio Pagani and his team, spanning automotive, furniture, and prestigious collaborations of excellence.

Each expression shares the goal of creating custom, meticulously crafted objects, the result of relentless research and careful attention to detail, to achieve the ideal balance between form and function.

The inspiration is the vision of Leonardo da Vinci, who believed that «Art and Science are two disciplines that must walk hand in hand».

On display, the Pagani Utopia and the Zonda F

For the first time at the event, the vehicle that marked the third act in the history of Pagani Automobili will be showcased: the Pagani Utopia.

It is a Hypercar with a timeless design, blending inspiration from the 1950s and 1960s with a distinctively Pagani personality.

It is conceived to be a simple car, focused on the pleasure of driving. The Utopia highlights unconventional features, such as the interior design that embraces the charm of analog instrumentation; against the trend is also the option of manual seven-speed transmission, as well as the choice to prioritize lightness with a V12 engine built by AMG following Pagani’s guidelines.

The production of the first series of Utopia Coupé is limited to ninety-nine units, all already assigned to a select group of enthusiasts.

On display is the Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo RS tire, custom-developed for the Utopia by Pirelli, designed to deliver a sporty driving experience on both road and track. This task was accomplished with the aid of carefully selected compounds; specifically, for the rear, the most high-performing option within the range was chosen, providing speed and confidence on the track, as well as ease and predictable reactions on the road. Moreover, thanks to a long virtual development process, the optimization of the imprint on the ground was improved to offer more adherence and control.

On exhibit outside the showroom is the Zonda F CoupĂ©, which, back in 2007, established a new record for production cars (7’27”82) on the 20.6 km NĂĽrburgring track—the paramount proving ground for hypercar manufacturers. The ‘F’ in its name is a tribute to Juan Manuel Fangio, one of the most renowned Formula 1 drivers in history, and a close friend and supporter of Horacio Pagani’s dream. The car features a two-tone design with light grey and exposed carbon exteriors, complemented by red leather interiors. The interior detailing adheres meticulously to Pagani’s tradition, evident in features like the Nardi steering wheel, wood finishes, and a dashboard inspired by the craftsmanship principles of ancient watchmakers. The car’s weight is kept to a minimum through the use of titanium, aluminum, and Inconel components.

The first creations from Pagani Arte will furnish the exhibition space

Pagani Arte is the new division of Pagani that exports the unique approach to conceiving and creating automobiles into the realm of interior design. It is an initiative born out of the creative need to design objects characterized by precious craftsmanship, sophisticated technology, and extraordinary attention to detail.

Remaining true to Pagani’s tradition, the inspiration finds its roots in the eclecticism of Leonardo da Vinci. The very name, â€Arte’, originates from the idea of combining Art and Science, as envisioned by the Renaissance genius, who saw these two disciplines walking hand in hand. The aim is to harmonize artistry and scientific precision, reflecting the synergy between the two, much like the vision embraced by da Vinci.

The lounge area of the exhibition will be furnished with a series of pieces from the Iconic Collection, customized with exclusive finishes and coverings specifically designed for the event. On display will be the Iconic Sofa, the Iconic Coffee Table, the Iconic Sideboard, the Iconic Dining Table, and two Iconic Bergeres.

Horacio Pagani describes the philosophy behind the conception and creation of the collection: «Nothing reveals our essence more than our home, as it reflects who we are and how we live. We have used the same materials employed in our Hypercars, to bring the pinnacle of technological performance to furnishings. The skills of our master craftsmen in working with materials like carbon, aluminum, titanium, leather, and wood become the heart and the soul of our creations. Like our cars, the Pagani Arte collection results from a collaborative effort that involves both the team and the customers.»

A corner of the space will be dedicated to the Pagani camera by Gibellini GP810HP.

The GP810HP took shape after two years of analysis, study, and research during which Gibellini’s technical know-how perfectly matched with exclusive Pagani materials and design features.

A harmonious blend that created a unique, exclusive object produced in a limited number of examples.

Made entirely from solid aluminum and titanium with components machined from a single block, the GP810HP is a generously sized camera with analog support where the sensor onto which the photographic image is impressed, is a large photosensitive plate measuring 20Ă—25cm.

The Pagani DNA is immediately perceptible. The rotating head is entirely made of aluminum machined from a solid block, while the professional tripod is in leather-covered carbon fiber. The pedestal on which the camera is mounted is also made of carbon fiber, aluminum, and Alcantara.

Clients will be able to configure their cameras to exactly match their cars, underscoring exclusive concepts and design.

Just like every Pagani creation, the GP810HP camera can only be purchased through the official Pagani Automobili channels or ordered from Pagani dealers worldwide.

«I was fortunate to be able to attend all of the Arte in Pista events during 2022 and I am so pleased I made the time to do so. I felt very much part of the Pagani family, and the level of care and organization were extraordinary. I had nothing to worry about, the Pagani team took care of everything, allowing me to focus all my time and energy on my new Huayra R at the amazing circuits we visited. My family and friends were made to feel very welcome, which made the whole experience even more special for me. I feel I should also mention the driver coaching and race mechanics that were there to support each event. Having raced myself in the past, I could appreciate the quality and level of detail. It does feel like you’re part of a professional race team, with data analysis, driver coaching, timing, and physio.» (M.R. – Huayra R owner)

«A program like Arte in Pista has several key components: the cars, the events, and the people. The Huayra R is just as incredible to drive as it is stunning to look at. Having experienced two years of Arte in Pista with the Huayra R, I am still blown away by the car’s performance and its breadth of capabilities. And the sound! You feel like you’ve been transported back in time to the glory days! The Pagani team that runs the events has to be amongst the world’s best. In addition to managing the cars and the track activities like a professional racing team, they take care of the participants and their families so well that it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to say that these events are worth attending even if you weren’t driving! The level of focus and commitment I’ve seen in most of the participants is seriously impressive. As fun as it is to just be able to drive a car like this on the track, most people in the program are willing to put in the (very) hard work needed to consistently improve. I am very much looking forward to the next season, and beyond!» (A.S. – Huayra R owner)

Genesis of a project born from the world of racing

«The inspiration for the design of the Huayra R Evo struck me during a Formula Indy race in Nashville: as I observed the single-seater cars with their Aeroscreens, the idea of creating a car with protective polycarbonate surfaces and the option to remove the two roof panels to be fully immersed in the allure of the air and the captivating sound of the engine, dawned on me.

From that moment on, we set out with the goal of creating a beautiful car, subjective as that term may be, harmonious in its lines and strong in its character. The final result is a true descendant of the Huayra R, one of the cars our customers love the most.

We also drew inspiration from the elegance of Le Mans cars that graced the tracks in the ’60s and ’70s, including the swift ‘codalunga’ long-tail prototypes.

With these stylistic foundations, we meticulously addressed aerodynamics, design, and every minute detail, adhering to the high standards synonymous with Pagani Automobili and the expectations of our discerning customers.

This fascinating project engaged the entire team for approximately two years, involving extensive testing and participation in Arte in Pista events on track. We gathered valuable insights from our customers, collaborating closely with longstanding partners such as Pirelli and Brembo to develop top-tier components for a high-performance and distinctive vehicle like the Huayra R Evo.» (Horacio Pagani, Founder & Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili)

In the quest to further elevate the driver’s experience, Mr. Pagani and his team have shaped the new Huayra R Evo drawing inspiration from a time when drivers braved the elements, piloting open-top cars, in their pursuit of victory.

The result is a bold and aggressive vehicle designed to meet an extreme need for freedom, yet with careful consideration for safety, aimed at thrilling even the most expert driver with uncompromising performance. With a significant increase in power output, braking performance, aerodynamic efficiency, and vertical load, the Huayra R Evo can match the performance levels of the current Le Mans Prototype 2 race cars, providing an experience remarkably close to the epic world of endurance racing that has transformed drivers into heroes and sensational cars into eternal legends.

The design, the result of a carefully studied evolution in its natural environment

«When the Huayra R was born, we had an extreme car in mind, an expression of a great desire for freedom. At that time, with premises like these, it was not possible to think of its future evolution, but thanks to the Arte in Pista program and its related experiences, we allowed ourselves to be inspired by new stimuli. Nature teaches us how every organism tends to evolve to adapt to environmental conditions, and this principle guided the creation of the Huayra R Evo project. The term ‘Evo’ reflects the transformation of a Hypercar that increasingly adapts to its natural environment — the track — integrating new elements and evolving in terms of performance and drivability.” (Francesco Perini, Head of Technical Department at Pagani Automobili)

Many of the design peculiarities of the Huayra R Evo are evident at first glance: at the front, the team of designers conceived a compact and aerodynamically efficient layout through a sophisticated system of air ducts to manage the optimal distribution of cooling required for brake discs, calipers, and the water radiator. This ducting system is integrated and supported by the splitter, extended forward by 101 mm (approx. 4 inches), featuring a dedicated aerodynamic profile that enhances the car’s capabilities. Alongside it, the double row of flicks on the hood contributes to the aerodynamic load on the front axle, essential for maximum control during corner entry.

From the front hood, the sinuous beltline and the shaped side sills enhance the perception of lightness and efficiency, giving rise to a flow system essential for functionality in extreme conditions. It represents a complex fusion of shapes and surfaces that, on one hand, allows the release of air and heat accumulated in the front wheel arches, and on the other hand, contributes to generating an airflow that aerodynamically cleans the rear engine compartment.

These features are complemented by a 190 mm (approx. 7.5 inches) extension at the rear, following the â€codalunga’ (long-tail) concept. The expansive and gracefully contoured rear hood supports the newly introduced central stabilizing fin and the integrated supports within the wing, featuring metal side flaps reminiscent of iconic designs from the past. The body is completed by a rear extractor that incorporates essential aerodynamic fins to streamline the airflow at the rear of the vehicle. All these developments have also led to an increase in the surface area of the aerodynamic underbody, an aspect carefully considered during the design of every detail of the vehicle and its drivability to ensure it is both extreme and intuitive – whether observed in the pits through the expression of its design or experienced while driving on the most prestigious tracks.

The overall body design incorporates cutting-edge Class A carbon fiber, specifically developed for the Utopia with a keen focus on aesthetic applications. This carbon fiber, enhancing both visual appeal and structural performance, has contributed to a 38% increase in stiffness characteristics at the same weight, optimizing material usage and reducing the vehicle’s weight.

The new Pagani V12-R Evo engine boosted to 900 hp

The strategic collaboration between Pagani and HWA AG remains the cornerstone of the Huayra R Evo project, by giving life to the upgraded and enhanced V12-R Evo engine, unleashing all the potential of the new track Hypercar. Equipped with the most modern technology derived from the racing world, the new engine delivers 900 hp (662 kW) at 8,750 rpm with a maximum torque of 770 Nm, which is directly available from 5,800 to 8,2000 rpm. The Huayra R Evo offers great track performance with a redline at 9,200 rpm. HWA AG and Pagani engineers did not solely focus on increasing power; they also intervened in other crucial components, such as the intake manifold. It has been optimized with a new trumpet design and new camshafts to enhance the delicate aspiration process.

The team also worked on both the precise calibration of the control unit and the design of the exhaust system to enhance performance and deliver a distinctive sound. Throughout the refinement process, each element was meticulously crafted with care and passion to endow this vehicle with extraordinary power. The six-speed sequential gearbox was designed in collaboration with HWA AG and dedicated only to the Huayra track lineage. Driven by a 3-sintered metal disc racing clutch, the non-synchronized dog ring gearbox guarantees a 95% friction efficiency, offering the greatest shift precision, extremely reduced shifting times, and weighing just 80 kg (176 lb). Securely attached to the monocoque as well as the engine, it contributes to the overall rigidity of the chassis and withstands heavy dynamic loads. The complete transmission system is designed to integrate structurally with the entire suspension unit through dedicated attachment points to maximize the architectural efficiency of the car.

Greater aerodynamic efficiency with the open roof

The clean design of the Huayra R Evo forms a symbiotic relationship with the evolution of aerodynamics and is capable of bringing out the most extreme performance while guaranteeing the total protection of the driver, aimed at increasing the driver’s confidence.

The ‘codalunga’ (long-tail) style, characterized by a distinct extension of the diffuser and hood, needed a comprehensive reassessment of the aerodynamic design. The extensive and meticulous effort undertaken by the team reaffirmed a noteworthy observation that had surfaced during the development of the Huayra R: underscoring the significance of exploring beauty in design, enhancements in the vehicle’s aesthetics were seamlessly intertwined with improvements in performance and aerodynamic efficiency. This synergy resulted in optimal aerodynamic performance while ensuring safe and predictable behavior under all conditions. As a result, there is an incredible 45% increase in downforce and a 21% increase in aerodynamic efficiency with the same resistance.

Every line and surface of the new Hypercar has been designed to generate the greatest aerodynamic load; at 320 km/h (199 mph), in a lowered setup, the vehicle generates a greater vertical aerodynamic load than its total weight in running order. Achieving this potential required precise balancing, maintaining a distribution of 45% – 55% throughout the entire speed range, and minimizing sensitivity to ground clearance. This design ensures stability during braking and in corners, aided by the contribution of the two movable rear flaps and sophisticated active aerodynamic management strategies.

Particularly relevant is the open roof, which enhances aerodynamic efficiency, contrary to expectations. The open-top configuration increases both front and rear vertical load, boosting the total downforce by an additional 5%.

A cockpit inspired by the most innovative automotive technologies

The comfort and performance of a sports car make no sense without being combined with an environment that provides maximum safety, a fundamental aspect on which the Pagani Automobili team never compromises.

The chassis of the Huayra R Evo incorporates various elements to minimize weight, from the safety cage to the seat and headrest structures and is crafted with the latest technologies in advanced composite materials developed by the Atelier, such as Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62.

The interiors are equipped with six-point harnesses and seats covered in fireproof material, whose special Ener-Core EC 50 foam padding ensures an optimal driving position, perfectly adapting to the body shape of the driver and passenger, while the carbon fiber headrests are also fitted with dedicated lateral protection.

The new cockpit ensures full frontal visibility and introduces a touch of uncommon elegance in track cars: from the inside, lifting the gaze, a play of sinuous lines seamlessly integrates onto the roof structure. This allows for enjoying a meticulously crafted interior even during the most extreme track sessions. The spectacle is accessible for both the right-hand and left-hand seated driver, as the Huayra R Evo can be configured with either driving position. This underscores the exclusivity and distinctive craftsmanship of Pagani.

Everything leads back to the pursuit of maximum safety and protection, without compromising the essential beauty that characterizes the vehicle, inside and out, following the Leonardo da Vinci principle of ‘Art and Science.’ The Huayra R Evo project confirms the great attention to the customer and a first-class technical know-how, capable of turning a dream of extreme driving into a concrete reality.

Sophisticated suspension enhanced by a new heave damper

The Huayra R Evo inherits the unprecedented kinematics and sophisticated geometry of the suspension system developed specifically for the Huayra R, representing one of the most complex and experimental moments ever faced by the Pagani Atelier.

A significant innovation complements the suspension system: the integration of a heave damper, a third hydraulic element that separates the management of the car-body heights from the independent dampers of the four wheels.

With a double-wishbone suspension made of forged aluminum alloy, helical springs, and electronically controlled active shock absorbers, the entire configuration of the new system with rigid mounting points not only allows transferring all the power and extraordinary torque of the Pagani V12-R Evo to the ground, but also provides unprecedented driving precision.

The advanced and refined elasto-kinematics of the new Hypercar enable greater camber recovery and optimized dynamic bump steer correction to ensure the ideal grip of the tires in every situation. Interconnected with the active aerodynamics system, the active suspension ensures the Huayra R Evo’s appropriate response in every condition, allowing for perfect balance when entering and exiting corners and maximum stability when braking, for precise and always predictable behavior.

An even more advanced braking system

The brand-new CCM-R self-ventilated carbon-ceramic discs paired with bespoke racing pads provide the Huayra R Evo with top-tier braking power.

The front brake system features a 100% increase in the surface area of exchange zones in the discs, thanks to a double line of slotted holes, and a 14% increase in the braking area on the disc and pads. This enhancement reduces the thermal power absorbed by the pad and further improves disc durability and stability.

The new CCM-Rs embody the most advanced available technology and have significant advantages in terms of thermal conductivity and maximum braking power, typical of carbon used in motorsports. As a result, stability is improved, operating temperatures are reduced during extreme track use, and the entire system is more durable.

The new braking system of the Huayra R Evo is the product of a long-standing cooperation between Pagani Automobili and Brembo, which has always focused on equipping Pagani Hypercars with state-of-the-art technology to ensure maximum performance, perfectly integrated design, safety, and unprecedented lightness.

Wider P Zero™ Slick tires for superior control on the track

The Huayra R Evo includes brand new P Zero™ Slick tires, 280/680 R19 in the front and 345/725 R20 in the rear, resulting from a comprehensive development process starting from the structure to withstand demanding dynamic loads. The increased tread width has expanded the performance boundaries of the vehicle and improved durability under intense usage conditions. Specifically developed by Pirelli Motorsport and Pagani Automobili using virtual simulation methodology, similar to the recent Trofeo RS for the road, the Huayra R Evo tires provide maximum precision and a sense of complete control for the gentleman driver. This is achieved through a new type of compound, ensuring exceptional traction during launches and stable braking behavior.

Available in both Dry and Wet versions, designed to allow the Huayra R Evo to tackle the asphalt in any condition, Pirelli’s new tire is engineered to deliver the necessary grip for millimeter-precision in every turn, extending its usage significantly to support the continuous optimal performance of the vehicle.

The cars on display: the Zonda F Roadster and the Huayra Roadster

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006, the Zonda F Roadster shares all the finishes and equipment with its coupĂ© sibling, making it a real alternative for the potential customer. By adopting new triaxial carbon fiber fabrics, the chassis has been redesigned and the weight of the coupĂ© has been kept the same (1,230 kg). The result is a highly efficient aerodynamic car that set a time of 7’29 on the NĂĽrburgring track. Produced only in the Clubsport version, since this set-up turned out to be far more popular than the original, thanks also to the engine’s increased power output to 650 HP, the Roadster F features a Brembo braking system, with 38 cm diameter carbon-ceramic self-ventilating discs, both front and rear and aluminum and magnesium alloy wheels, designed by Pagani and made by APP-Tech, 19 inches high in front and 20 inches in the rear. Finally, it should be mentioned that Roadster F was a commercial success, to the extent that the chassis available for production soon sold out.

Next to the Zonda F Roadster is the Huayra Roadster. Described by Horacio Pagani as the «most complicated project», it is a car almost entirely on view, with every component, every mechanical part proudly displayed. Unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, it is the first-ever Roadster to be lighter than the CoupĂ© version. Such a goal was achieved thanks to the complete overhaul of all components and the development of new advanced composite formulas, including Carbo-Triax HP52 combined with Carbo-Titanium which allowed the team to reduce the car’s weight by 80 kg compared to the previous coupĂ© and achieve a 52% increase in rigidity. It took six years of hard work to fully develop it, paying attention to every detail. The final result is an open-top car produced in 100 units according to the most authentic Pagani philosophy.

  • It includes all of Pagani’s passion, elegance, and cutting-edge technology in just 1,260 kg (2,776.67 lb).

San Cesario sul Panaro, November 23, 2023 – Pagani Automobili presents the Imola Roadster, the new limited edition from the Grandi Complicazioni division. Featuring a one-of-a-kind design and technical specification, this vehicle does not fear the track even if its eight specimens are homologated for road use throughout the world. It is the best-performing open-top the brand has ever created.

Design and aerodynamics inspired by the Huayra R

Lorenzo Kerkoc – Head of Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, states: «Initially, we wanted to create an open-top twin of the Imola Coupé, the vehicle introduced in 2020 which paid homage to the legendary racetrack. Then we took another approach: we combined the Huayra Roadster BC’s sophisticated technology with the design and aerodynamic principles of the Huayra R track car. The result is the much more advanced and complex Imola Roadster».

The more powerful engine requires increased cooling, prompting the team to meticulously address the radiators and the dynamics of interior air flows, enhancing the Imola Roadster’s reliability and performance.

Two new features optimize cooling: the enlargement of the two front air intakes and the dual outlet for warm air, one is concealed in the wheel arch and the other is on the side of the bumper, a distinctive feature of the Imola model.

The openings on the wheel arches provide many advantages, such as reducing pressure under the front end to benefit aerodynamic stability and improve airflow towards the rear aerodynamic appendages.

Standing out at the top of the silhouette, the air scoop maximizes the effectiveness of the Pagani V12’s aspiration; the impressive central fin minimizes waves and stabilizes the vehicle. For the first time, the air scoop and the supports of the rear wing have been integrated with the hood.

The body of the tail lights has been updated and new air vents extract hot air from the wheel arch at the same time. This simultaneously improves the cooling of the rear brakes and the downforce—i.e., the aerodynamic force which pushes the vehicle towards the ground and increases road-holding. The impressive extractor balances the ground effect generated by the imposing rear splitter.

Aerodynamic efficiency to the max

Every line and surface of the Imola Roadster was designed with the goal of reaching 600 kg of downforce (1,322.77 lbf) at 280 km/h (173.98 mph) to guarantee safe and reliable behavior in every situation.

The team of engineers and designers concentrated on achieving a balance between a sophisticated system of interior air flows and an exterior profile that would generate downforce in any driving condition. They ensured that every surface served both functional and aesthetic purposes, aligning with Leonardo da Vinci’s principle of Art and Science, which guided the creation of the Imola Roadster and every other Pagani Hypercar.

The lateral acceleration is unexpected: 2.0 g on a continuous drive with peaks of 2.2 g and a longitudinal deceleration of 2.2 g.

Chassis and materials

Pagani has been developing advanced composite materials for thirty years; the Imola Roadster is the culmination of research striving for perfection. The chassis is made in Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62, which is firmer than ever, ensuring the driver a race-car driving experience. Plus, it even improves safety.

Weight is crucial for establishing efficiency and driving pleasure. Thanks to structural principles and innovative composite materials, the new vehicle weighs in at just 1,260 kg (2,776.67 lb) —a result of meticulous attention to every detail.

Even the car’s innovative paint contributes to making the vehicle lighter: the Acquarello Light system allows the Imola Roadster to shed 5 kg (11,02 lb) while maintaining the color’s intensity, depth, and sheen.

First-class handling

The Imola Roadster benefits from its four flaps which move independently from one another: they adapt to driving needs to offset pitch when braking and roll when cornering. It is a system which works in synergy with the active suspensions and contributes to the vehicle’s stability.

The suspension of the Imola Roadster is one of the points of pride for Pagani Automobili. The unit is composed of an independent double wishbone made from aluminum alloy, helical springs, and electronically controlled shock absorbers. The suspension electronics stand out as one of the vehicle’s highlights, thanks to the presence of the sector’s most powerful microprocessors. This technological advancement effectively reduces the effects of dive, squat, and roll, providing the driver with enhanced control and improving overall safety.

An updated powertrain unit

The Imola Roadster owes part of its magic to the evolution of the 5,980 cc Pagani V12, specifically designed by Mercedes-Benz AMG for Pagani, which delivers 850 HP with 1,100 nm of torque. This power is transferred to the road through the Pagani gearbox by Xtrac, a seven-speed transversal sequential gearbox known for its extraordinary responsiveness.

Pagani’s iconic exhaust system

The six-pipe exhaust system, derived from the brand’s latest testing at the track, showcases Pagani’s unmistakable personality. Crafted from titanium and coated with ceramic using a sophisticated plasma-fusion system, it becomes lighter and ensures more efficient heat dissipation. Its aerodynamic performance is unparalleled, and the auditory experience it provides is truly astonishing.

Wheels and tires

With the Imola Roadster, the decades-long collaboration and partnership between Pirelli and Pagani Automobili continues, featuring the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires (265/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R21 at the rear), which were partly created through an effective virtual development.

The tires ensure unprecedented levels of grip and performance for a road-use vehicle. Multi-Compound technology has allowed for the custom development of the characteristics of the ideal compound for the Imola Roadster, enhancing grip through profile optimization and achieving unparalleled geometric precision using new construction processes inspired by those used in Formula 1.

The result is greater consistency and optimal performance in dry conditions. Even under extreme use, performance lasts longer, offering speed and safety for various sessions on the track. This has been achieved thanks to Pirelli’s over one-hundred years of experience in top-flight motorsport competitions.

The materials, particularly the tread compound, have been developed by leveraging Pirelli’s expertise and adapting it for road and amateur-track use.

As these tires are homologated for road use, Pirelli’s engineers also made sure to make them safe on wet asphalt.

Lastly, the wheels developed with APP are crafted from Avional forged material. Light, featuring an aggressive seven-spoke design, they undergo expert manual finishing, resulting from a sophisticated forging process and mechanical manufacturing to save on every last gram.

A journey beyond time

The interior of the Imola Roadster transcends the boundaries of time; it draws inspiration from the glorious past and projects towards the future of motorsports and grand touring.

Stepping on board transports you to another dimension; time stands still, and the contemplation of details captivates. Every detail captures attention, revealing the precious skill of Pagani’s artisans down to the smallest detail.

The Imola Roadster aims to delight those who experience it, even before igniting the engine: the carbo-wood, the finely embossed leather, the components that showcase the allure of mechanical nature. The satisfaction of touch and sight is immediate.

Even the sense of hearing is not neglected: the seven-channel audio system with the new bass reflex on the door panels provides an immersive and crystal-clear auditory experience.

When contemplation is satisfied, there remains nothing but to assume the most comfortable position in the carbon fiber monocoque seats, fasten the four-point racing-style seat belt, start the Pagani V12 and engage the first gear.

It will be the beginning of a thrilling new journey.

The Grandi Complicazioni division

By nature, some technological inventions require such a complex design that they can only be produced in extremely limited quantities. Even just one specimen.

In the world of Haute Horlogerie, they are called Grand Complications, and Pagani Automobili borrows this name for the division dedicated to special projects: these are vehicles produced in ultra-limited series, featuring technologies so complex that only a few master artisans are able to bring them to completion.

This division offers an infinite range of customizations: colors, finishes, materials and shapes are designed in total synergy between clients and artisans, in order to fulfill every desire and create a completely bespoke object.

PAGANI TAKES PART IN THE AUTO E MOTO D’EPOCA BOLOGNA

  • Pagani Automobili will have two exhibition areas at the show in Bologna from October 26-29.
  • On the first stand, the brand will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with the exhibition of the Zonda C12 (1999) and the Huayra CoupĂ© (2011).
  • On the second area, the Horacio Pagani Museo will be showcasing the Huayra Codalunga (2022).

San Cesario sul Panaro, October 19, 2023 – Pagani Automobili is proud to announce that it will be making an appearance at the Auto e Moto d’Epoca, one of the most important international events dedicated to vintage motorsport, in Bologna from October 26-29.

At Auto e Moto d’Epoca, Pagani Automobili will have two exhibition areas: one dedicated to the brand’s 25th anniversary, featuring the iconic Zonda C12 (1999) and the Huayra Coupé (2011),whilst the second area is reserved for the Horacio Pagani Museo, exhibiting the Huayra Codalunga (2022), which pays tribute to 1960s’ Italian coachbuilders and racing prototypes.

During the Bologna show, the brand will carry on with its 25th anniversary celebrations. The festivities reached their climax in June 2023 in the heart of Modena, where the inconic Motor-Valley story got started.

The Zonda C12 and Huayra Coupé, two cornerstones of Pagani’s 25th anniversary

The first stand at the Auto e Moto d’Epoca will take a look back at some of the defining moments in Pagani Automobili’s history with the exposition of two of the brand’s icons: the Zonda C12 and the Huayra Coupé. The former is a legendary vehicle which made its debut on March 9, 1999 at the Geneva International Motor Show. It was immediately embraced with open arms by the automotive community at the time, and even earned the designation of a Hypercar. Designed to thrill at first glance, in many respects the Zonda C12 was a futuristic and revolutionary vehicle, with its curved and reinforced windshield and cabin which was moved forward and fashioned after a fighter-bomber’s cockpit. 140 road models of the Zonda were built, each of which has been tailor-made to the customer’s preferences. The amount of exclusivity offered by these vehicles considerably increased their values, and they turned out to be excellent investments for those who had believed in them.

The other vehicle being showcased in Bologna is the Huayra Coupé, the second model produced by the San Cesario-based manufacturer, which was released twelve years after the Zonda. The eternal element of Air lies at the heart of this project, which required eight years of development and experimentation before its official release; Air, in all its forms—especially wind—became essential to creating the concept and style of the Pagani Huayra. One of its main new features was the debut of the Active Aerodynamics with four independent flaps that go up and down based on the vehicle’s speed. Moreover, the Huarya is equipped with an innovative carbo-titanium body—a carbon fiber and titanium weave made to create an even stronger material. Heir to the Zonda, despite having completely different forms, dimensions, dynamics, and technology, the Huayra won various prizes over the years and was named Car Of The Year in 2012 by the three most important global automobile magazines.

The Horacio Pagani Museo and the Huayra Codalunga, a constant dialogue between the past and present

On the second stand, the brand is highlighting the important relationship between its past and present, juxtaposing the charm of the recent Huayra Codalunga (2022) and the important historical value of the Horacio Pagani Museo in San Cesario Sul Panaro.

Uncoincidentally, the museum is located next to the production facility and traces every one of the Italo-Argentine designer’s steps to success: from the years in Argentina to the arrival at Lamborghini, the founding of Modena Design, and the creation of Pagani Automobili in 1998. At the museum, visitors can admire the first models of the Zonda, the iconic Zonda Cinque, the Zonda HP Barchetta Revo, and the Huayra. The visit starts in the museum and continues into the production facilities, where one can witness the continuity between the first balsa-wood models to the latest studies into carbon fiber and composite materials. All of the information related to visiting the atelier and the Horacio Pagani Museo can be found at the following link.

Created in just five units by Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, the division dedicated to one-off and few-off vehicles, the Huayra Codalunga was created through a constant consultation with its customers during the entire development of the project. Its story began in 2018 when two collectors asked Horacio Pagani and his team to make a longtail version based on the Pagani Huayra Coupé. The idea was to create a Hypercar which was as elegant as it was simple and sleek in its design, a model which could star both on the road and at international exhibitions. The model on showcase in Bologna stands out for its special semi-matte, sky-blue paint job which calls back to the liveries of the 1960s. The exterior paint returns in the cabin on the panels, while the structural elements have been left in exposed carbon fiber. Meanwhile, the upholstery makes use of artisanal aged leathers and leather and suede weaves. In particular, the seats come in a leather and nubuck weave and the parts milled from a single block recall the craftsmanship of the past when the artisan would hand-polish every item. This kind of work still takes place and gets handed down by the experts of the Motor Valley, the birthplace of world sports cars.

PAGANI AUTOMOBILI AT THE 7TH EDITION OF THE HISTORIC MINARDI DAY FOR A WEEKEND OF PASSION AND ENGINES

  • On 26 and 27 of August, Pagani Automobili will participate in the Historic Minardi Day, a weekend dedicated
to fans of F1, single-seaters, prototypes, GT and historic cars.
  • Throughout the weekend, there will be track sessions with the Huayra R, Zonda R and Huayra Roadster BC models.
  • The eyes are also on the exhibition of Zonda, Huayra and Utopia, cars that celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Modenese brand.

23 August 2023, San Cesario sul Panaro – On August 26 and 27, the Historic Minardi Day returns, the event dedicated to the enthusiasts and the world of F1 collectors, racing cars in general, prototypes, GT cars and historic cars. 2023 marks the seventh edition, the event conceived by the Minardi family will take place at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit in Imola.

Visitors will be able to admire on track the Huayra R, presented in 2021 with the sole objective of offering uncompromising results; the Zonda R, extreme but at the same time marked by the simplicity of driving typical of Pagani; and finally the Huayra Roadster BC, capable of recording significant performance.

Utopia, the latest Pagani hypercar embodies a visionary and counter trend automotive idea, characterized by a simple and unrepeatable design, will be exhibited throughout the whole weekend. To achieve its ideal final shape, an extremely complex process took place over six years. The active aerodynamics, combined with electronically controlled shock absorbers, ensure optimum dynamic behavior in all driving conditions. The Pagani V12 engine, a 6-litre biturbo produced exclusively by Mercedes-AMG, is the result of a huge development work: it delivers a power output of 864 hp and above all developing a torque of 1100 Nm. Produced in just 99 units, Utopia has already been completely assigned to a small circle of enthusiasts.

Next to it, two other iconic models will be exposed, Zonda C12 and Huayra, that represent the three milestones of the brand. In particular, the Zonda tells the story between a young designer and the great Juan Manuel Fangio, legendary 5 times F1 world champion, friend and mentor of Horacio Pagani’s dream. It could not therefore be missing in an event that has its roots in F1.

A protagonist of the exhibition is the Huayra Codalunga, created in just five examples by Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, a division dedicated to one-off and few-off cars. Presented in 2018, it stands out for its elegant and simple design: the colors and materials nostalgically recall the style of the 60s, with exterior paint that invades the cockpit and handmade leather/nabuk coatings. The engine hood, 360 mm longer than than the Huayra Coupé, hides a prodigy of mechanics: the Pagani V12 that on this series is able to develop 840 hp with 1,100 Nm of torque. In addition, the lack of rear grilles makes space for an unobstructed view of the Codalunga’s exhaust system. The special ceramic coating completes the homage to the racing cars of Le Mans and the symphony that emanates from the signature four tailpipes is a tribute to automotive passion.

The Huayra Roadster HP will also be displayed in the paddock. The one-off is the result of Pagani’s latest aerodynamic studies, so much so that every line and surface has been designed to generate maximum aerodynamic load. The frame is a monocoque carbon-titanium HP62 G2 and carbo-triax HP62. Extremely effective from an aerodynamic point of view, Huayra Roadster HP is equipped with the Pagani V12 6.0 engine, with double compressor, which delivers 840 hp and a torque of 1,100 Nm at 2,000 rpm/min.

The participation in the Minardi Day is yet another stage of the journey dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the brand celebrated in one of the most iconic circuits of the motorvalley.

August 9, 2023, San Cesario sul Panaro – Monterey Car Week, the most anticipated event in California dedicated to the world of historic and modern cars, will be staged from August 11th to the 20th. The prestigious event will be attended by Pagani Automobili, on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th, with its hypercars that excite at first glance.

The participation in the Monterey Car Week is the further stage of the journey dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the brand.

Horacio Pagani not only dreamed and built hypercars among the most beautiful in the world, but has turned the company into a creative Atelier where a community of people recognizes themselves, shares hands and thought, faces the great complications of mechanics, handles beauty, and finds reciprocal inspiration. The same values shared by his “extended” family of customers, colleagues, suppliers and many fans around the world.

The Pagani Utopia, which will make its North American debut at the exclusive Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, is characterized by a simple and unrepeatable design. The new Hypercar tells a visionary and countertrend automotive idea. And it does so by keeping faith with the purest Pagani spirit that has always found the element at the base of his creations in the origin of Leonardo’s Art and Science. Produced in just 99 units, the first series of the Utopia coupé has already been completely sold out to a small circle of enthusiasts.

Two other iconic Atelier Pagani models will be exhibited next to the Utopia: The Zonda and the Huayra that, together, represent the three milestones of a path which started in 1998 with project C8 (Zonda), continued in 2011 with project C9 (Huayra) and arrived last year in the third act with project C10 (Utopia). Two prestigious examples will round out of the exhibition: The Zonda R and the Huayra R, born with the unique objective of offering uncompromising performance.

Pagani Automobili is presented at the Quail with a new layout, featuring an elliptical element that recalls the Brand logo and the iconic four-exhaust logo. The exhibition area is completed thanks to a refined Lounge and the exclusive Pagani store, where apparel and accessories from the new 25th Anniversary collection can be purchased.

The celebration of the 25th Anniversary at Monterey Car Week will continue on Saturday, August 19th, with a spectacular parade of Pagani hypercars to reach the city of Seaside, home of “Exotics on Broadway”. A unique event with free admission where the general public can admire some of the most exciting cars of our time (from 1.00 to 6.00 pm).

These two events will highlight both the imaginative power of Pagani hypercars, creations capable of combining the concepts of timeless beauty and avant-garde technology, and the deep bond that has always united the Italian brand and North American enthusiasts.

More information on the Utopia can be found at this link and here is the press release dedicated to the Huayra R. Also, at this link is the video of the 25th anniversary while here you can find the press release dedicated to the celebrations.

PAGANI AUTOMOBILI AT THE GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2023: SPOTLIGHT ON THE UTOPIA AND THE HUAYRA R

  • The Pagani Utopia and Huayra R will be on display inside the Pagani stand.
  • The Modenese Hypercars will be featured dynamically in the legendary “hill climb.”
  • World premiere of the Pirelli “P Zero Trofeo RS”, the new tire developed by Pirelli for the Pagani Utopia.

San Cesario sul Panaro, June 6th 2023 – From the 13th until the 16th of July Pagani Automobili will return at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, one of the most famous and awaited events dedicated to the automotive world. Hosted in West Sussex County, the manifestation gathers thousands of automotive enthusiasts.

This year, Pagani Automobili will be present with two examples of the new Utopia and two of the Huayra R. In particular, the English countryside will be the setting for the exclusive Pagani stand where to admire these Hypercars, both distinguished by an exposed carbon fiber livery. In the Supercar Paddock, on the other hand, the Utopia and the Huayra R will be ready to take on the “hill climb,” the uphill race in which vehicles of all kinds participate every year.

Utopia, a visionary and counter-trend automotive idea
The fascinating Utopia with an exposed carbon fiber finish, called “Dark Amber,” will catch the eye of all visitors. The latter is the result of the combination of the special Black Mamba coloring and the inclusion of small amber “glitter.” The same imprint of exclusivity of the exterior can be found in the cabin where the upholstery in Sand Nubuck and Grecale leather stands out, with a woven detail on the central section of the seat. The silhouette of Utopia is completed by the four titanium exhaust pipes, a distinguishing feature of the Modenese atelier that enhances the sound of the Pagani V12 biturbo engine with 864 Hp and 1100 Nm of torque, expressively developed by AMG.

This model will debut with the brand-new P Zero Trofeo RS tires (21” at the front and 22” at the rear), specifically developed by Pirelli for the Pagani Utopia, one of the many Goodwood 2023 premieres. The Pirelli tires have the role of elevating the performances and a sportier driving experience compared to the previous P Zero Corsa without compromising the balance of the vehicle and the feeling of the driver. This task was also accomplished thanks to the compounds chosen: especially, on the back, the most performing of the range was selected, being able to offer speed and confidence on the track, ease, and predictable reactions on the road. Moreover, thanks to the use of a long virtual development process, the optimization of the imprint on the ground was improved to offer more adherence and control.
A special video dedicated to the project is available at this link.

In the Supercar Paddock, ready to tackle the “hill climb,” a Pagani Utopia equipped with a manual transmission, offering a driving experience of mechanical purity. The Pagani by Xtrac 7-speed transversal gearbox is able to transfer all the power and the exceptional responsiveness of the Pagani V12 to the road. It was not an easy task to design such a gearbox with synchronizer rings and a mechanism able to handle 1100 Nm of torque adequate for a pure manual application, but it was an essential requirement for Utopia.

Nothing can replace the driver’s own mastery of the gearchanges: the prevailing logic is his alone, each change up or down is totally unique and depends solely on his decision and good judgment, the exact combination of circumstances, the nature of the road and the mood of the moment.
Further information about the Utopia is available at this link.

Huayra R, the track Hypercar for true adrenaline enthusiasts
Returning to Goodwood is the Huayra R, the Hypercar born in 2021 with the sole aim of delivering uncompromising performance. Inspired by the everlasting charm of Le Mans cars and by the World Sport Prototype Championships of the 1960s and 1970s, the car combines the highest level of automotive engineering and aerodynamic expertise with an unprecedented aesthetic sensibility.

The example on display at the Pagani stand allows the public to get up close and personal with this creation, which represents the quintessence of performance, technology and art applied to a track car. To savor the fascination of extreme driving behind the wheel of the Huayra R and the Zonda R, the Arte In Pista (“art on the track”) program was born with a calendar full of events. Now in its second edition, the exclusive Pagani experience includes adrenaline-pumping track days at some of the world’s most famous circuits, with the assistance of the Pagani Team and the support of professional drivers.

The second Huayra R present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed will put on a show in the “hill climb” race, also thanks to the roar of the 6-liter naturally aspirated Pagani V12 R engine, designed in collaboration with HWA which delivers 850 hp at 8250 rpm, mated to a new six-speed sequential gearbox with frontal clutches. Indeed, the soundtrack of this track car is pure emotion, thanks to the unique design of the headers and its four iconic exhaust tailpipes , which allows the V12-R to “sing” on par with an F1 car of the past. A sound so involving that in 2022 it was awarded the title “Best Noise of the Year” by BBC TopGear.
Further information about the Huayra R is available at this link.

The attendance of Pagani Automobili at Goodwood follows in the wake of the celebrations that took place from the 16th to the 18th of June in Modena for its 25th anniversary: an iconic event and a tribute to the clients, colleagues, collaborators, enthusiasts, and the whole Motor Valley.
The celebratory video for the 25 years of Pagani Automobili is available at the following link.
