Pagani Automobili at CES 2026: Art and Science in the future of electronics

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Pagani Automobili unveils the results of an advanced research project in collaboration with STMicroelectronics and osdyne. The protagonist is the Pagani Utopia, a rolling laboratory to define the technological platforms of the coming decade.

San Cesario sul Panaro (MO) / Las Vegas – January 7, 2026 “Art and Science can walk hand in hand.” Inspired by the Leonardian principle that has guided the company since its foundation, Pagani Automobili is proud to present a new chapter in its history of technological innovation at CES 2026. Within the STMicroelectronics exhibition space, the Modenese Atelier is displaying a pioneering study that looks toward the horizon of post-2030 automotive platforms.

The Laboratory Car

Taking center stage is not a newly produced vehicle, but rather the very Pagani Utopia specimen that marked the model’s world debut in 2022. Far from being a museum piece, this car continues its mission today as a laboratory for advanced engineering. On this prototype—and on a dedicated fleet of test vehicles—Pagani Automobili is validating unprecedented electronic solutions. These are distinct from the systems present on cars currently being delivered to customers, which continue to benefit from components supplied by excellent partners representing the current state of the art.

The Technology: The Automotive Gateway

In collaboration with STMicroelectronics and osdyne, Pagani has developed and validated an innovative central Automotive Gateway. The goal of the research was ambitious: to apply the philosophy of “subtraction” to electronics as well. Utilizing STMicroelectronics’ Stellar G processors and osdyne’s secure software platform based on the Rust language, it was possible to centralize the management of body control functions, remote diagnostics, over the air updates, cybersecurity enforcement and much more —achieving a drastic simplification of wiring harnesses.
The result is an electronic architecture that is lighter, more essential, and more responsive. It is a system that “tames complexity” to leave room for the pure emotion of driving.

The Detail: A Carbon Suit

Consistent with the Pagani philosophy, even the most invisible technology must possess aesthetic and tactile value. The new Gateway is not concealed within an anonymous enclosure but is housed within a carbon fiber case, designed and hand-crafted in the Atelier at San Cesario sul Panaro. This detail symbolizes the perfect integration between computing power and the artisanal craftsmanship that distinguishes the brand.

A Vision Beyond the Car
Although validated on a Hypercar, the robustness and intrinsic safety of this architecture (Rust + ST Hardware) make it a reference solution for any object featuring hardware and software components. Pagani Automobili, together with its partners, positions itself as a technological pioneer, validating standards that may find application in robotics, medical, aerospace industry, consumer appliances and beyond.

Horacio Pagani, Founder and Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili
“At Pagani, technology must never overpower the human experience, but serve it. We chose to collaborate with masters like STMicroelectronics and osdyne because, to truly innovate, one must have the humility to work together with the best in their respective fields. What we present today is a gaze into the future: we are investing in knowledge to ensure that the Paganis of 2030 maintain the same purity and emotion as those of today, supported by an intelligence that is invisible, yet infallible.”

Loris Valenti, Vice President Microcontroller and Digital Product Group at STMicroelectronics
“Excellent silicon is only half the equation. Without efficient software tools that allow developers to fully exploit hardware capabilities, one risks leaving performance on the table. The osdyne platform unlocks the full potential of our Stellar families, and seeing it applied to Pagani’s uncompromising vision demonstrates how technological excellence can enable new forms of engineering art.”

Amit Singh, CEO of osdyne
“We take a lot of inspiration from iOS and Android, both well-designed platforms with rich libraries and developer tools that allow for any and all application logic possible. The mobile revolution truly transformed the world and created a new software economy. That transformation hasn’t happened in embedded software yet. We are bringing the same philosophy to machines”
